At Russell Country’s 2015 annual meeting held on May 2,
longtime Board member Ray Mehrens announced his retirement from
the Russell Country Board of Directors. Ray became a Board member in
2008 and quickly became involved with the credit union by serving as a
member of the Supervisory Committee, which led Ray to eventually become
the Supervisory Committee Chairman. Following this commitment, Ray
was elected by his fellow Board members to become Russell Country’s
Board Chairman, a position he held for 3 years, and when he stepped
away from the Chairmanship, Ray returned to the Supervisory Committee
as its Committee Chairman once again.
Ray’s commitment to both the credit union and membership was
exemplary during his tenure. His leadership and contributions to the betterment of the credit
union and our members was recognized by his Board peers, by presenting Ray with the Volunteer of The Year
award in 2009, 2011, 2012, and 2015. The Board, management, and staff would like to thank Ray for his
contributions to Russell Country, and wish him the best.
