How will your support make a difference?
Since 2004, the annual Batting Against
Breast Cancer™ tournament has raised over
$3.4 million in support of the Canadian Breast
Cancer Foundation (CBCF). This incredible
fundraising total is thanks to participants (like
you!), generous donors that support the teams,
dedicated sponsors that help offset costs, and our
amazing volunteers who commit their time and
energy. The funds you raise will help create a future
without breast cancer through vital research,
education, health promotion, and support and
information programs.
with the disease. Those programs include direct
support for those affected by breast cancer and
hereditary cancer.
CBCF is the largest charitable funder of breast
cancer research in Canada. We continue to fund
innovative research projects, such as finding
improved methods of early detection, new and
less invasive treatment options, and programs
that can enhance the quality of life for those living
Your participation and fundraising efforts will
make such a difference for the estimated 25,000
women and 220 men in Canada who will be
diagnosed with the disease, this year alone. Thank
you for stepping up to the plate and joining us in
this year’s Batting Against Breast Cancer™!
Congratulations to our top
fundraising teams from 2015!
Accelerate your fundraising
with these tips!
• Set your fundraising goal: If you don’t know where you’re going, how will you know when you’re there?
• Personalize your fundraising page: Share how breast
cancer has affected your life and why you are involved with
Batting Against Breast Cancer™ this year. Add photos to your
page and tell your story.
• Make a self donation to show your commitment: Set the
tone by donating the minimum amount you would like to
receive. Let your contacts know in your email requests: “I’ve
donated $50 towards my fundraising – and I hope that you’ll
match my donation.”
• Reciprocating the support: Think of all the people who you
have donated to in the last year and reach out to them for a
gift. More than likely, they will be eager to support your cause.
