Fair Play Rules General Rules • All players: sign-in at front desk. • Non-members: pay Supervisor before you play. • Treat volunteer Supervisors and fellow players with respect. • The Club welcomes players of all abilities. Please be patient and help lesser skilled players. • Treat tables with care. Do not bang paddles or place personal belongings on tables. • No offensive language. Keep volume to a reasonable level. • No food or drink on courts, only in seating areas. • During play, wear athletic shoes with non-marking soles to protect the floor. • Training/Coaching/Lessons are only permitted before 7pm on weekdays and before 1pm on weekends. • Robot table is for annual Club members and Supervisors only. No exceptions. To become an annual member, see Supervisor or visit Club website. • The Club has the right to reserve tables for training, coaching, tournaments or special events. • Volunteer supervisors are authorized to enforce Club rules at all times. Supervisors may ask players violating these rules to leave the facility immediately. • Smile… video cameras are recording the Club for your personal safety. Rules During Open Play Hours: • Each table is labeled either “Open Table” or “Challenge Table.” • To get in line for an “Open Table” or “Challenge Table,” place your paddle under the table. You can only be in line for one table at a time. • On “Open Tables,” you are allowed to play singles for 20 minutes or doubles for 30 minutes. The timer must be used and begins as soon as play starts. At the end of the 20 or 30 minute period, you must relinquish the table to the next 2 or 4 players waiting. If no players are waiting for the table, the timer may be reset for another 20 (singles) or 30 (doubles) minutes. • On “Challenge Tables,” the winner stays on the table and plays the next person waiting. After winning three straight matches, the winner must relinquish the table to the next two people waiting. Warm-up time, prior to the match, is limited to 5 minutes (use timer) and the match is limited to best of five games, 11 points. No exceptions. SCORING • Matches are best of 5 games (first to win 3 games). • Each game is to 11 points. • Serve changes every 2 points. • 10-10 ties must be played until one player wins by 2 points. • Serve changes every 1 point if 10-10 occurs.
