Steve Brockmeyer Receives IBA BGP Agent of the Year Award
Pasadena, California – The Insurance Brokers and Agents of Burbank, Glendale and Pasadena (IBA BGP) has named
Steve Brockmeyer, ARM, CIC, President and Chief Executive Officer of Bolton & Company Insurance Brokers, the
recipient of the Agent of the Year Award.
Presented during the IBA BGP annual installation dinner on November 15, 2012 at the Oakmont Country Club in
Glendale, CA, the Agent of the Year is a very prestigious award that IBA bestows upon an insurance professional for their
years of service, dedication and commitment to the Association, the insurance industry and their fellow insurance brokers
and agents. Past recipients of the Agent of the Year award include Ken Turknette, Executive Vice President of Bolton &
Company.
“Steve’s long-time contribution to the industry through his service on the various boards of the IBA West, the Service
Corporation and The Council of Insurance Agents and Brokers earned him this prestigious award,” said Mike Morey, CIC,
Chief Operating Officer of Bolton & Company. “The professionalism and dedication with which he has served are an
example to us all.”
Steve has served on the Board of Governors of the Western Association of Insurance Brokers, the Board of Directors of
the IBA West, and the Board of Directors of the IBA West Service Corporation, including a three-year service as Chairman
of the Board of the IBA West Service Corporation and Chairman of the IBA West Strategic Planning Committee. He has
also been honored to have been selected to the Board of Directors and as an officer of the Council of Insurance Agents
and Brokers (CIAB) which represents the nation's largest brokers in both national and international affairs. Steve has also
served on numerous insurance company advisory councils on both a local and national basis.
Other involvements include past member of the Pasadena Tournament of Roses Association, an active member and Past
Chairman of the San Gabriel Valley Chapter of the Young Presidents Organization (YPO), and a Member of the Board of
Directors and Vice Chairman of AbilityFirst.
Also honored were Ken Turknette, ARM, Executive Vice President of Bolton & Company and Alex Plumb, AINS, Assistant
Vice President, who were installed as Directors of the IBA BGP. Ken is the 2013 IBA West State Association PresidentElect and will assume the title of IBA West President in 2014.
