How to start FCA on your Campus New Huddle To-Do List: (These are some key action steps to take in order to start an FCA huddle on your campus) 1. Find the right coach on campus! a. Any coaches and adults involved must complete a Ministry Leader Application (MLA) online: https://mla.fca.org/apply b. (Once completed, FCA staff will approve and officially certify the campus/huddle, which covers your meetings/events with FCA liability insurance and allows us to recognize your local ministry) 2. Find some influential and spiritually mature student leaders willing to take ownership & lead out. a. (This is key for students to actually keep coming throughout the year). See Student Leader Training below on how to equip your leaders. 3. Recruit adult volunteers (booster club) to support the huddle in prayer, by being there, and providing snacks for students. a. (coaches, teachers, parents, & other adults from churches). 4. If you haven't already, y'all will need to figure out the best time & place to meet weekly or monthly, however is best for your schedule. 5. Plan a Kickoff day to have your first FCA huddle meeting. a. Promote/get the word out to students through school announcements, create a Social Media pages, leaders can make signs, inviting friends, etc.) 6. The bottom line is make it biblically focused and Christ-centered. a. (Make it fun for students, play games and feed them if that's what it takes to get them there, but be sure to always share the gospel and point everyone there to Jesus every time you meet together). 7. Have student leaders, you, other coaches and teachers, local pastors, youth ministers, adult volunteers, or local FCA staff lined up each week to lead in prayer and share a brief testimony, or devotional Bible study. a. (This is the meat and most important purpose of FCA. So keep the main thing the main thing). 8. Be organized and prepared, but also be flexible. a. (Again, encourage the students to run with this responsibility) Huddle Leader Training: (FCA staff can come in and provide this training, or do it yourself online) 1. Go to http://fcacampus101.com/ 2. Select "High School" or Middle School campus (it doesn't really matter which one) 3.
