COURSE OBJECTIVES
In both semesters this course explores the theories, practices and strategies involved in coaching the
game of football. Students will about the techniques in football. They will also learn the objectives,
rules, regulations and policies of football. In the second semester the course explores the theories,
practices and strategies involved in coaching the game of football. Students will also work on
individual skills, organization and management practices, pertaining to public schools football
programs. They will gain the skills necessary to teach football. They will also be presented with the
history of football.
PREREQUISITES
Basic knowledge of human anatomy. Knowledge of games used in physical
education.
TIME AND ECTS workshop, 20 hours in the 1st semester and 20 hours in the 2nd semester

KNOWLEDGE:
1. [K_W01] the student knows the specific terms and terminology referring to
exercises used in football training and to football technique.
2. [K_W06] the student knows football teaching methods, the techniques of
performing basic exercises in football and the forms and principles of teaching
movement in football.
3. [K_W07] the student knows how to prepare a proper football class.
4. [K_W14] the student knows the laws of the game and football refereeing
principles.
SKILLS:
• [K_U02] the student can teach basic elements of football special technique running with the ball, striking the balls, receiving the ball, feinting, dribbling,
winning the ball/tackling, body movement (on the ball/off the ball), throw-ins.
•[K_U08] the student can perform and demonstrate exercises for special
technique in football which are practised in particular semesters
• [K_U15] can perform exercises designated to practice motor skills
• [K_U13] the student can use various forms and methods of teaching in order to
conduct football activities
• [K_U09] the student can identify and correct mistakes made while performing
football technical exercises
SOCIAL COMPETENCES:

condition and health

Getting accustomed to the ball. Games used in teaching football.
Running with the ball. Striking the ball. Receiving the ball. Winning the ball/tackling
Laws of the game.
Presentation of the skills students have learnt in the first semester.
