Selecting and installing the card support bracket for HP
400 and xw4000 series Workstations
This supplementary document describes how to select and install the expansion card support bracket
for HP 400 and xw4000 series Workstations.
Procedure
Two similar expansion card support brackets have been included with your graphics card kit.

Select the expansion card support that fits your workstation.

For HP 400 Workstations, select the expansion card support bracket with the barcode label
and the smaller piece of pink foam attached.
●
For the HP xw4000 Workstation series, select the expansion card support bracket without the
barcode label and with the longer piece of pink foam attached.
After installing the expansion graphics card and closing the expansion slot retention clamp, install
the expansion card support.

Position the end of the card support above the expansion card retention clamp
b.
Lower the card support into place 2.
c.
Secure the card support with two screws
