The « La Fayette Ball » odyssey
27 april 1780 : the marquis of La Fayette is front of Boston (USA) on board of « Hermione ship », constructed in
Rochefort (France) one year later, for helping Americans independence.
20 Avril 2015 : The replica of the Hermione Ship is reconstructed and go for Atlantic crossing. On board, there is a
baseball ball called « La Fayette Ball ». This bal is dedicated by the Canonniers of Rochefort, Club of Baseball of
Rochefort.
11 July 2015 : The Hermione Ship arrive in Boston, the Lafayette Ball will be give to an executive member of the
famous Club of Red Sox of Boston. The president of Canonniers will throw the first pitch of a game at 7.15 pm with
the Red sox front of the Yankees of New York
