Renaissance Trading Card Project
Part 1: 5 Renaissance Trading Cards
For this project, you are to make baseball cards for 5 people that influenced the
Renaissance/Reformation. Choose one person from each category below, plus one additional
person from any category. For each person, you are to make a baseball/trading card.


On the front of the card include a picture/illustration of the person, their name, their
title, and the date of their birth and death.
On the back of the baseball card describe what that person contributed to the
Renaissance/Reformation. Cards should contain a minimum of 5 facts/ sentences.
Include an additional image of an accomplishment (a painting, building, book) of the
person.
Part 2: Renaissance or Reformation MVP (Most Valuable Player)
Choose one of your 5 Renaissance/ Reformation figures as the MVP. The MVP of the
Renaissance/ Reformation should be someone you think contributed more to the
Renaissance/ Reformation than anyone else. In class you will write a 2-3 paragraph
essay in which you describe why you chose that person as the Renaissance/
Reformation MVP. In your essay you should include the following information about the
MVP.
Why did you choose this figure for MVP? What are their contributions to the Renaissance/
Reformation?
How did their contributions affect the Renaissance/ Reformation?
Why are their contributions greater than that of other Renaissance/Reformation figures?
How would the Renaissance/ Reformation be different without the contributions of your MVP?
**You may choose someone not listed, so long as they were a Renaissance figure
Trading Card Layout
You may layout you baseball cards however you choose. Listed below is one
optional way.
Be sure to use a lot of color and creativity on your cards. They must show your
effort. You may also create a envelope/case to store you cards in.
Grading:

Each baseball card is worth 10 points, totaling 50 points. 
