3. Server may switch sides, but the opponent may not.
4. The serve must land diagonal and in the designated area.
Scoring

2. If a game is tied at 40-40, it is called “deuce”
3. Once the score reaches Deuce, the next team to score a point is “Advantage”
a. If the team that has advantage scores the next point, the game is over.
b. If the opposite team scores, the score returns to Deuce.
4. This scoring system is also used in Tennis
Legal Hits
1. After the serve, which must bounce before being hit, all hits are legal.
2. Forehand – swinging the paddle/racquet forward using one or two hands.
3. Backhand – swinging the paddle/racquet backwards using one or two hands.
4. Underhand – swinging upwards
5. Overhand/Smash – swinging dowards (this can only be done behind the first
line)
6. Only one hit is allowed per side.
7. After the serve, the ball may either bounce or be hit without a bounce.
8. After the serve, the ball does not need to either go diagonal or land in the
designated service area.
A whiffle ball is used to the ball does not travel as far or as fast and stays in the
smaller court.
A slightly deflated tennis ball is used for the same reason.
