Charity Bank Impact Awards 2016 Awards & selection criteria Charity Bank’s Impact Awards give recognition to the exceptional charities and social enterprises we work with and the inspirational individuals who are the driving forces behind them. This year we have two award categories. Greatest Impact Award The Greatest Impact Award is open to any current Charity Bank borrower, of any size, in any sector. This award is for organisations transforming the lives of individuals or communities through their work. Judges will take the following factors into consideration: resources available to your organisation; the complexity and needs of your target group; how life-changing the benefits are and the number of people reached by your services; whether these changes/benefits are short-term or have longer lasting implications; the quality of evidence available to prove these changes are occurring as a result of your services; and any other additional benefits. Using available resources effectively will be critical; a small, local organisation will not be penalised for having fewer beneficiaries than a larger one. It is the level of impact that is key. The winner of this award will be selected by a social sector judging panel. Change Maker Award The Change Maker Award is for individuals who have been the driving force behind a great organisation, which must be a current Charity Bank borrower. It is open to any individual currently or previously associated with a current Charity Bank borrower, either in a formal position or as a volunteer. Individuals may nominate themselves, or be nominated by others. The judges will be looking for individuals who have demonstrated: An ability to transform a community, tackle problems and/or make a significant positive difference through their work; Creativity; and Determination And who are seen as inspirational role models to others. The winner of this award will be selected via a public vote. Voters will be asked to consider both the creativity and inspirational nature of the individual Change Maker and the current impact of the organisation’s work.
