Theory of Action If we model and teach a Catholic view of life then students will demonstrate a positive sense of self, spirit and belonging as they discern ad live out their call from God. Sow Strategic Priorities Nurture Success Criteria All partners of the school and community will be given support and assistance in accessing services needed to promote a positive, safe, caring, inclusive and respectful environment -Staff, students and parents are engaged in strategies that promote positive school climate and well-being -Embed plans for Promoting Positive School Climate and Well Being into everyday practice Mental health and wellness will be integrated into the curriculum. -Work in collaboration with community partners to identify and address topics relevant to the health and well-being of students Build student leadership through team building activities and workshops. -Students will attend leadership workshop(s) -Student leadership club - House activities Discern Monitoring Common Monitoring 1. SIPSAW reviews to ensure alignment with BIPSAW 2. Periodic staff reviews 3. Superintendent visits 4. Staff/student learning - The language of CGE’s is visible in learning goals and the ways in which students make learning visible (observation, conversation and product) -Teacher and student conferencing/feedback - Mental health week – bring in community partners to staff, students and parents - Students will advocate for themselves and the well-being of others - Students will organize and lead school activities. Sow Strategic Priorities Nurture Success Criteria Sacred Heart is a Gold Certified School – we will maintain our Gold status and look toward Platinum status next year - ECO club will continue to promote and monitor composting, boomerang lunches and recycling. Encourage students to show their leadership in taking initiative to empower their peers by being stewards of the earth Student garden club to maintain gardens in front of the school - Earth week activities - Attend the Water Festival -Create posters for around the school to increase awareness - Announcements - Aboriginal dancers will work with students each day and finish with a whole school dance -Aboriginal/Inuit House Activity Day -Social Justice Group Continue to increase and develop knowledge about Aboriginal studies and social justice issues Discern Monitoring - Student participation - ECO data sheets and portfolio Common Monitoring: 1.
