Valley Basketball Camp for Guards is
designed for boys basketball players in
the 6th-11th grade that want to focus on
improving their guard skills. The camp
consists of individual skill development
as well as intense 3 on 3 drills aimed at
improving fundamentals. For 4 days,
players will receive 2 hours of instruction
from a qualified staff of coaches and
competition amongst an equal ability
level.
Player Benefits
Each player will have the opportunity to
work on the most valuable guard skills
including:
• Shooting off the dribble
• Proper catch and shoot technique
• Coming off of screens
• Reading a defense
• Other offensive moves
• Moving without the ball
• Helpside defense
• The “Mental Edge”
Camp Information
The Valley Basketball Camp will run June
20-23 from 9:00-11:00 in Borah’s basketball complex.

CAMP STAFF
Cary Cada—Coach Cada, a 17 year Varsity Coach.
In 2004 and 2005 he guided the Borah Lions to
BACK to BACK Idaho State 5A Championships.
Coach Cada has 30 years of coaching experience
and is the Director of The Valley Basketball Camp.
Clint Hordemann—Clint was All –State and AllSIC both his junior and senior year. Clint was a
member of the Boise State basketball team from
1997-2001 and team captain.
Skyler Montoya—2007 1st Team All State, 2nd
Team All– Conference. Played for Columbia Basin
Community College.
Terriel Thomas—2007 1st Team All-Conference,
2nd Team All State. Played for the College of
Idaho.
Bryan Champ—Led the Borah Lions to the 2004
and 2005 5A State Championship and, as a senior,
was the SIC Co-player of the Year and the Idaho
State Player of the Year. Played for the College of
Idaho.
Vince Hordemann—Point guard for the 1995
State Championship team at Centennial High
School. Member of 1995-96 University of Idaho
Basketball Team.
Matt Bauscher—1st Team All State Jr. & Sr.
Year and 4A Player of the Year at Vallivue High.
2008 BSU Starting Guard and Captain of the 2008
WAC Championship team. Now plays professionally in Holland.
Craig Spjute—2009 1st Team All Conference,
2nd Team All-State as a Junior. SIC Player of the
Year, first Team All State 2010.
Justin McCarthy—Captain of the 2003-04 College of Idaho team. Most of all time games played
in a career at C of I.
Paul Noonan-3 year letterman at Beaverton
(Ore.) HS, 2 time 1st Team All Conf., Ave. 19.5
pts. per game as senior, 2 year starter at BSU.
