2017 MSSL SWIM SEASON TEAM REP TIMELINE
December:
Dec. 1st: Team suit selection & Speedo team rep shirt orders due to D&J Sports
Dec. 4th: New Team Rep Clinic @ JCC room 229 2-4 pm (cancelled)
Dec. 15th: Team rep shirt orders due to D&J Sports
January:
D&J Sports: book the date to come to your pool and sell team suits, goggles, practice caps etc.
Sunday, January 8th: MSSL Board Meeting @ 2 p.m. JCC room 277. $100 Team
Commitment fee due at the meeting.
January 31st: IRS form 1099 MISC due to any contract coach/beginning swim instructor earning
$600 or more last summer
February:
February 28th: IRS Form 1096 submitted by this date to the Austin TX IRS Office
March:
Sunday, March 19th: MSSL Board Meeting @ 2 p.m. JCC room 277 – dual meet ribbons may
be available on that date, but for sure by Rules Clinic dates
April:
April 15th Coaches’ wick away shirt order form: due to D&J Sports via e-mail (2 free & $30
for any extra shirts paid by your team)
April 30th Scorekeeper’s Software Clinic #1: 2 p.m. JCC room 229. Meet Manager & Dolphin
Timing System training with Donna Witt.
May:
May 1st MSSL Contact Sheet: correct names, phone #s & missing information. Send to

May 1st First Practice: First-in-the-water team practices MAY begin (do not HAVE to)

May 7th (Sunday afternoon) Short Rules Re-Certification Clinic #1: for returning MSSL refs,
starters & head coaches –JCC room 227/228 @ 1-2 p.m. with Bruce Anderson & review for
returning MSSL stroke judges in room 229 with Beth Anderson
Rules Long Clinic #1: New Coaches, Referees, Starters & Team Reps: JCC room 227/228

May 23rd (Tuesday evening) On-Deck Refs/Starters & Judges: valuable follow-up training at
JCC pool from 6-7 p.m. with swimmers & league head officials, Bruce & Beth Anderson
May 20th First Rosters due to Donna Witt completed according to directions on league web site
(MSSL private section TM/MM & Hy-Tek Downloads then click on Team Manager Set-up for
roster directions.) In your e-mail please tell me how many swimmers are on your roster.
May 20th Simple Fee & Insurance Money: Simple Fee payment of $12 per swimmer minus
$100 January deposit due to: MSSL c/o Donna Witt 921 Valley Oak Drive, Bandera, TX 78003,
direct deposit at Falcon Intl. Bank, or give to me at a clinic. If wanting to insure learn-to-swim
athletes and coaches/beginning swim instructors teams may do so @ $5 each. Note how
many coaches & learn-to-swim athletes you are paying for.
May 30th Coaches’ certifications: All team reps must collect a copy of certifications for your
TEAM FILES ONLY. E-mail Donna stating ALL PAID COACHES HOLD CURRENT
CERTIFICATIONS.
May 31st MSSL Scholarship applications due: MSSL Scholarship Committee c/o Donna Witt
921 Valley Oak Dr., Bandera, TX 78003
June:
Before 2nd scheduled meet: All finalized team rosters (with additions & deletions) due to
Donna plus any additional late joining swimmer’s fee @ $13 each sent to Donna or direct
deposit at Falcon Bank to match the number of added swimmers on your final team roster. Tell
how many swimmers are on your final 2016 competition roster and learn-to-swim rosters.
June 14th (Wednesday) Championship Meet program ads and money: due to Donna. Ads
must be e-mailed and money mailed to: MSSL c/o Donna Witt 921 Valley Oak Drive, Bandera,
TX 78003.
June 16th (Friday) 11 a.m. Division championship meet pre-ordered t-shirt information (sizes &
quantity of each) and money due to Donna from teams. Put the money in your team funds and
give Donna a check for the total amount, mail check, or direct deposit the amount into the MSSL
checking account. E-mail Donna amount of your team deposit for t-shirts & date deposited.
June 18th (Sunday) 6 p.m. all teams who swam on Saturday 6/17th: Championship Meet
team entries due to Donna. ALL DIVISION CHAMPIONSHIP MEET ENTRIES ARE FINAL
UPON SUBMISSION--except relays.
June 20th (Tuesday) 6 p.m. all teams who competed on Monday 6/19th: Championship
Meet team entries due to Donna. ALL DIVISION CHAMPIONSHIP MEET ENTRIES ARE
FINAL UPON SUBMISSION--except relays.
June 24th (Saturday): Div. 1 meet in the morning & Div. 3 meet in the afternoon - Palo Alto Nat.
June 25th (Sunday): Div. 4 meet in the morning & Div. 2 meet in the afternoon – Palo Alto Nat.
June 26th (Monday): All Star meet Psych Sheet will be posted & sent to teams
June 29th All-Star Meet (THURSAY) All-Star Meet @ PALO ALTO NATATORIUM
