Event Limitations/Restrictions: Athletes may
only enter one of the above.
Team Players Uniform:
 Shirts must be numbered
 Runners must be worn
 Only single gender teams are permitted
 Team panels comprise of 10 players
Sport Specific Information
Submitted Skills Score: For athletes competing
in individual skills the scores are taken from the
results of the Area Advancement Event
Team Grading: Athletes will be graded on three
separate occasions:
1. Initially by the club coach
2. Regional Grading Day January 19th,
National Basketball Arena Tallaght.
3. At the Regional Event
Team Grading Process: Please refer to the
“Basketball Grading Assessment Sheet and the
“Basketball Divisioning Project” DVD. There are
three levels in Basketball.
Team Positions:
Level 1: PG – Point Guard, G – Guard and F –
Forward
Level 2: G – Guard and F – Forward
Divisioning: Divisioning for team event will be a
series of shortened observed games to ensure
teams are evenly matched for finals.
Divisioning for Individual Skills Competition will be
by age/gender and ability according to SOI rules.
*Each delegation must have a Head Coach who
will attend all Head Coaches meetings. These will
take place before the competition starts each
morning. For clubs entering more than one team
you MUST have a Head Coach per team entered.
