Dear Parents/Carers
I am writing to inform you that summer term will finish for the Sixth Form on Tuesday 15 th July at 3.20pm.
The arrangements for obtaining AS level results, and the schedule for the commencement of Upper
Sixth studies are as follows:
AS level Results
Examination results will be available at 9.30am on Thursday 14th August. These must be collected by
the student in person by 12.00 noon. Uncollected exam results will be posted home if the school has
been provided with a stamped addressed envelope. These can be handed in to Mrs Keene in the
Roselands Secretary’s office.
Any student who has not reached the entry criteria for Upper Sixth, at least a D pass in three subjects.
will be able to speak to me on Friday 15th August in Roselands between 9.00am and 1.00pm.
Upper Sixth
All Upper Sixth students will enrol on Monday 8th September 2014 at 9.00am to continue with their A2
studies; as usual they will be expected to be dressed to our usual high standards of uniform and
appearance.
UCAS
All students will be expected to have fully researched their UCAS application and completed their
personal statement over the summer break in readiness to discuss their application with their Form
Tutor. This will give us the opportunity to issue guidance to ensure the form is completed to the highest
possible standard well before the deadline. Forms can be submitted to UCAS from the 1st September
2014.
Finally, I would like to extend my very best wishes to your son and family for a peaceful and restful
holiday. We look forward to him returning in September refreshed and ready to embrace his A2 year
with vigour.
