Footy Tip Member Management: Managing Correspondence Preferences If your club sends out correspondence such as newsletters to your members, it is possible to manage their preferences i.e. whether they receive / don’t receive emails. However, note that with the Member Profile, members can manage these preferences themselves. If you are sending out these kind of emails to your members, it is important that your members are either given information on how they may opt out, or if your email provider allows for it, a ‘unsubscribe link’. From your club’s Dashboard, use the search bar to find the appropriate member. From the member’s Dashboard, select the Unlimited Customs Fields tab. Select the appropriate tick box that represents the member’s communication preference. Select Update Member. Reporting Member Correspondence You can use the reporting tool to display which of your members have opted out of receiving communications from your club. From your club’s Dashboard, select Reports. Select the Members report type from the left hand pane, then select the Advanced Member report. Drag and drop the desired fields from the left hand columns into the Select Fields box e.g. first name, age, email address. o Scroll down to the bottom of the page and expand the ‘Unlimited CFs’ column. o Drag across the relevant unsubscribe field. o Ensure that you filter the field to “Is not blank”. This will show all the members that have opted to NOT receive correspondence.
