Textease Studio: Choose create spreadsheet from menu
Textease: CT select spreadsheet toolbar
Draw spreadsheet
Drag ‘crosshair’ across the screen to draw an area of a spreadsheet.
Click in grey box, top left, to select and move the spreadsheet.
Click to select spreadsheet and select effects.
Click on cell tab to change format and look of cells.
Click in a cell, then use the shortcuts CTRL-TAB to add a column and CTRL-RET to add a row
(orclick on the menu for spreadsheet at the top of the page).
In CT use the + and – cells icons
Enter data
Enter Monday, then, when the pointer becomes a white cross, click in the cell to highlight Monday
and see the white square (bottom right). Drag the mouse pointer from this white square across the
cells to the right. This will FILL IN the other days of the week.
Investigate: Are there any other sequences the software will recognise? Try months, planets,
colours.
Add data as below:
When the pointer is a white square, drag from cell b2 to b4. When these three cells are highlighted,
click on the tool for autosum.
The sum of the previous cells will appear in cell b4.
This formula can be copied to cells c4 to e4 in the same way as the days of the week were filled.

Graphs and charts
Generate graphs by dragging from the labels, across rows and
columns, to select an area of the spreadsheet e.g. select a1 to e3.
Click on the graph tool.
Charts can be move, resized and edited.
Note: Images can be used in tables but when the graph is drawn you will see the name of the image
rather than the picture.
Entering formulae
Click in a cell and press
= or click the formula tool on the toolbar.
Click the drop down menu to choose a formula like 'average'. When it asks for the range, drag you
mouse pointer from the first to the last cell that you wish to include.
You can select a whole column by clicking on the grey top label.
Use these tools to sort columns or rows.
