Letter combinations will not be accepted which might be confused with the five‐letter combinations used
in the International Code of Signals, Part II, the three‐letter combinations beginning with Q used in the Q
code, and with the distress signal SOS, or other similar urgent signals, for example XXX, PAN and TTT.
Letter combinations including the letters ‘O’, ‘I’ or ‘S’ will also not be accepted.
Registration marks can only be reserved for existing aircraft, or aircraft on order. (Registration marks
cannot be reserved speculatively).
