PSHE
Children will be thinking about their future
aspirations and discussing what it is that
they need to do in order to achieve their
goals. As part of this, we will be looking at
rules and responsibilities, manners and
respecting others and independent learning
and life skills.
During P.E. lessons children will be
developing their skills and techniques of
team games. The children will also be
working with a PE specialist to focus on the
specific skills associated with different
sports.
Literacy
Children will be learning to plan
and structure their writing,
using the appropriate vocabulary
suitable for different writing
styles. We will be reading and
writing reports, poetry, and
science fiction stories .Children
will be looking at spelling
patterns and will be given books
to read at home each week.
Topic
Children will be exploring and evaluating
the different aspects to life during the
Bronze, Roman, Anglo-Saxon and Medieval
times. They will be using photographs,
written sources, video and other
secondary sources to find out about how
settlements were formed and changed
through developments in education and
technology as well as through conquest.
SO WHAT?
To create a time travel based computer
game which explores settlements from
early Britain (Bronze/Roman/AngloSax/Medieval) and how they have changed
overtime.
Mathematics
Children will be developing

Children will learn how to select,
use and combine a variety of

During Science lessons the children will learn about how plants,
animals and humans are affected by their environment. We will
look at a variety of habitats and look for suitability for the living
things that grow and settle there. The children will also learn
about the different planets in the Solar System.
Art
Children will improve their art

computer graphics. They will
design and sketch a sprite to
use in their computer game.
