Learning log (at least two entries per week) and PDP needs to be upto-date.

The Deanery will contact all trainees who need to attend an Annual
Review of Competence Progression (ARCP) panel for feedback.
Week beginning
11th July 2016
The ARCP takes place during this week. All trainees must keep
this week free as trainees will be expected to attend the panel if
any part of their e-portfolio is incomplete.

ST1 – General Hints
If doing a GP Post you need to apply to go on to National Performers List 2 months before
start date of post.
 Start looking at GP Consultation models - through reading, tutorials if in a GP placement,
as well as with your ST1 / 2 learning set






Read the AiT journal
Start looking at the GP Curriculum – including the core statements and the specific learning
outcomes for the post you are currently doing
If in a GP or ITP post – remember you MUST book your Out of Hours sessions. In a 4month post you need to do 24hrs
Find out about your Local Faculty Group from your GP Programme Directors. When is it
held? Decide with their help who will be the Year 1 Representative, give feedback to the
rep ahead of the LFG
Keep up to date with your e-portfolio
Child safety modules to be completed every year and documented in your eportfolio
