committee meeting minutes

Ladies Development Division’s 2014/2015
Entry/Re-entry Form
Due to the drop of Ladies teams deciding to compete in the National League, the committee has
decided to change the structure of the divisions to facilitate new teams entering. Ladies Division Two
will be split into two divisions, North and South for the 2014/15 and 2015/16 seasons.
To help encourage enough teams to enter to allow this restructure, the tournament fees will be
subsidised 50% by the National Committee. This means tournament fees will be £40 a tournament for 2
years.
In addition, we have adjusted the competition rules to make entering and building an eligible team a bit
easier. The full rules can be found on www.canoepolo.org.uk
The relevant sections applicable to these divisions are listed below.
Tournaments
Teams will be expected to attend 3-4 tournaments. Ladies Development North will be hosted by
Cheadle, Manchester. Ladies Development South will be hosted at multiple locations, check the
calendar for updates. The 1st tournament will likely be in October and the last will be before the start of
April. Please keep an eye on the calendar as dates and venues may change, dates in red are yet to be
confirmed.
Player Eligibility
 Players must be members of ANY CE, CANI, WCA or SCA affiliated canoe club.
 Teams may play one player who concurrently plays Ladies Division One at every tournament.
o It is expected that these players will take on a player-coach role with new/developing
Ladies teams.
o If this position is abused, the divisional organiser has the discretion to prevent the
concurrently Division One player from competing in Division Two.
 One Club rule not applicable to any Ladies divisions. Players can come from multiple clubs.
 Players are NOT required to have BCU Comprehensive members, as these divisions will not be
nationally ranked.
