Our school strategies are on track to meet or exceed our targets
During 2014, we have focused on maximising the benefits of this funding for our students. After reviewing
our Great Results Guarantee agreement, it is clear that we are on track to meet or exceed our targeted
student outcomes. We continue to implement our strategies to ensure that every student succeeds.
Strategies implemented include:
 Developing our Whole School Assessment Framework to allow us to continuously monitor student
progress in Reading and Number.

Embedding our Differentiation Mentors in classrooms in P-3 to inform high yield teaching strategies in
Reading and Number.

Review student performance on a five week data cycle, to support teachers to differentiate for their
students.

Implementing our whole school intervention framework to support students at risk of being below the
National Minimum Standard in NAPLAN.

Developing Individual Learning Plans for all students at risk of not achieving a C standard identifying the
support strategies in place

Implementing the Early Start Program for all Prep students and providing associated intervention support
based on this information.

We exceeded the target for the percentage of students in the NAPLAN upper two bands in Reading
achieving 48.6%. Our original target was 45% for Year 3 students.
Provided numerous professional learning opportunities for teacher and teacher aide capability through
the development of our whole school Professional Learning Framework and individual Professional
Learning Plans.
Implementing our whole school Reading and Number frameworks ensuring consistency in practice and
expectation in all classrooms.
Purchase additional Speech Pathologist time to identify oral language development issues and train
teachers / teacher aides to provide support for identified children.



Our school strategies are showing substantial progress toward our targets
After reviewing our Great Results Guarantee agreement, it is clear that we have made progress toward our
targeted student outcomes. We will continue to focus on maximising the benefits of this funding for our
students, and adjust our strategies as needed to ensure every student succeeds.
Strategies implemented include:
 Increasing the percentage of students meeting National Minimum Standard in Year 3 Reading to 98.6%,
our target being 99%.
 Increasing the percentage of students meeting the National Minimum Standard in Year 3 Numeracy to
97.8% with our target being 100%.
 Increasing the percentage of students in the NAPLAN upper two bands in Numeracy to 28.5% with our
target being 32% for Year 3 students.
 In 2015 we will continue to develop our school as a professional learning community to build teacher
capacity to effect improvement through shared professional learning team meetings and a renewed
focus on the Australian National Teacher Standards.
 Continuing to develop our goal setting and feedback strategies for students as we review our
pedagogical framework.
