Farmers Market Vendor Information and Rules and Regulations
The Whole Foods Market Farmers Market will be held on a weekly basis, beginning on
Thursday, May 2, 2013 and ending on Thursday, September 26, 2013. Market hours are every
Thursday from 4-7 pm rain or shine.
The Whole Foods Market Farmers Market is a producers-only market. All products sold at the
Market must be made locally; homegrown, homemade or handcrafted by the vendor and
must meet Whole Foods Market’s quality standards. These standards may be found on our
website at http://www.wholefoodsmarket.com/about-our-products/quality-standards.
Additionally, packaged food products must clearly list all ingredients on the label, and labels
must comply with all applicable Federal, state and local regulations. Allergens must be disclosed
on labels in accordance with FALCPA. For more information, go to
http://www.cfsan.fda.gov/~dms/alrgact.html.
We may ask you to bring in a sample as part of the approval process.
The Market Committee will review vendor applications to determine whether products
intended for sale meet the above guidelines. The Farmers Market Committee will accept
vendors for participation in The Market based on product mix, adherence to the above
guidelines and space availability. The vendor committee reserves the right to reject any
prospective vendor application for any reason. Vendor applications are due by April 1, 2013.
Vendors may designate an agent to sell products on their behalf at the Market on a temporary
basis provided that the products meet the above guidelines.
Each vendor will be given a 10 x 10 space. You will need to bring your own tables, chairs and
tents. Tents are not required. There is no charge for the space.
Electricity will not be provided, and generators are not permitted.

Vendors may start to set up no earlier than 3:00 pm. Upon arrival, Market staff will direct
vendors to assigned spaces where they may unload their vehicles. Vehicles must then be
parked in a parking space designated for vendors.
Vendors must be set up and ready to do business when the market opens at 4:00 pm and may
not start selling until that time. Vendors who are late setting up may no longer be eligible for a
reserved space. Vendors also may not begin breaking down before 7:00 pm. If an emergency
arises, please consult with the Market Manager.
Vendors are required to specify in their applications if they intend to vend the entire season or
only select dates. Vendors are expected to honor the time commitment specified on their
applications. Please call and give 24 hour notice if you will not be able to be here for your
reserved space.
Vendors are responsible for leaving the vending space in a clean condition. Vendors not leaving
their space as clean or cleaner than they found them may be asked not to vend again in the
future.
Smoking and the use of illegal substances are prohibited at the Market and on Whole Foods
Market property.
