IT IS ANTI-BULLYING WEEK
(17th – 21st November)
All Year Groups
Throughout the week there will be assemblies, stalls and various other
activities running as part of Anti-Bullying week.
The first activity is “Acts of Kindness”
If you do something nice for someone throughout the week please write it down
and give it to your tutor teacher. There will be a prize for the best one, and we
will also display them in the school.
It is “nice to be nice!!”  - Have a great week!

supported our Dauntless Coffee and
Cake morning. We raised an amazing
£132.00 for Micro Tyco, a charity that
helps to start businesses in the
developing world. Our team is
currently in the lead out of all the pupils
taking part in Micro Tyco!

Bella Christmas Card Competition
Design the school Xmas card.
The Head Teacher needs your imagination and
creativity to design the school Christmas
Card. Your design will be seen by many and this
is a great opportunity for you to showcase your
artistic skills. The winning design will be printed in
full colour with the winner’s name and sent to the
many contacts of Bellahouston Academy.
We need your winning designs to be completed no
later than 28th November.
The winning designer will receive a prize for their
design.
Villareal Trip
A reminder to all pupils to return their Villareal tear off slips if

Scottish Space School 2015
If you are interested in Engineering, Science or Technology please consider the
following opportunity:
“The Scottish Space School at Strathclyde aims to inspire the next generation of scientists
and engineers by highlighting the career and educational opportunities available to young
people with an interest in science, engineering and technology.
Space School will be held at the University of Strathclyde from 14-19 June, and
applications will be accepted up to the deadline of 18 January 2015. If you are
interested, come and see Miss McWaters today.

“Each year, we issue a holiday card to hundreds of the our friends and contacts
as a way of wishing them a happy holiday season and to say ‘thank you’ for
being such a great partner throughout the year. We thought it would be great if
we have a student in Scotland design our holiday card this year so we have
decided to hold a competition!” - The design for this card should symbolize the
friendship between the United States and Scotland.
As the card designer you can be as creative as you wish.
All designs must be submitted to Ms Lynch Art Room 3 by 27th November to be
photographed and submitted by email prior to 1st December.
The winning designer will be invited to visit the consulate and sign the design,
which will be framed and hang in our offices. We are also planning to Tweet
about the winning design and student. If interested in taking part pop in to
discuss ideas with Ms Lynch at lunchtime in Art Room 3. Open to all!
