Every two or three months we provide preaching support and every summer our youth staff the church's vacation Bible school for children in the community. More recently, our church committed $8,000 per year to help the Riverton Fellowship Circle to hire Sam Bergen, their first salaried minister in many years. This Sunday a service of licensing Sam as a minister in Mennonite Church Manitoba will take place in Riverton. Together with the Riverton Fellowship Circle we thank God for providing a capable and godly minister in Sam and we pray for God's blessing on his ministry. • A Giving Box Project: Canadian Foodgrains Bank / FOCUS. President Duterte declared martial law in Mindanao to address growing violence, but many fear this will exacerbate the situation. May the church shine the light of Christ into this growing darkness, and may people use social media to share hope rather than fear.
