WITHROW PARK BALL HOCKEY LEAGUE 2014 PLAYOFF FORMAT Bantam Division As the Bantam Division has only 6 teams, the playoff standings will be determined differently than the rest of the League. In this division only, teams will be split into two halves; one half will be 1st, 3rd and 5th, the other half will be 2nd, 4th and 6th. Each team in a half will play each other team in that half once. This means each team will have 2 playoff games. OVERTIME WILL HAPPEN IN THE EVENT OF A TIE at the end of regular time. There will be 10 minutes running time of “sudden death” overtime. If still tied at the end of the overtime there will be a shoot-out of 5 players (the coaches can declare their shooters at the beginning of the shoot-out) per team; if still tied then the shoot out will continue, one player (different players than the 1st shoot out) at a time. The standings at the conclusion of the playoff games to determine which 2 teams compete for the Championship will be determined by the following criteria: 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. Points (2 for a win) Wins Inter-team playoff game GA from the PLAYOFFS Final Standings at the conclusion of the REGULAR Season This means that even if a team loses their 1st playoff game they can STILL advance to the finals depending upon the scores of all the playoff games played. The standings at the conclusion of the round-robin will determine who plays for the championship. The 1st place teams in each half, based on the round-robin, will play each other for the championship. This game will be preceded by a consolation final between 2nd place teams in each half, based on the round-robin. GOOD LUCK TO ALL TEAMS AND WE LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING EVERYONE AT THE BBQ ON CHAMPIONSHIP DAY. Withrow Park Ball Hockey League
