1. LEE COOPER LETTER OF THANKS
Parish council to write a letter of thanks to Lee Cooper to thank him for the
generous donation of a vase for the memorial flowers to be put in, to enable
people to still sit on the bench on Pisca Lane.
2. SKATE PARK / UNDER 5s PLAY AREA QUOTE
Under 5s Play area currently being revamped. Quotation received to replace
damaged fencing with 8ft security fencing, complete with gates to be locked
every evening 9pm summer, 5pm winter. There is also the quotation to consider
to use the old fencing to fence off the underside of the skate ramps, which is
currently being used by the drinkers and drug users.
3. SKATE PARK RELOCATION AND FUTURE SUGGESTIONS
Skate park is currently causing issues. A suggestion would be to locate the skate
park on the Leicester Road Play area site, so that it can be better monitored by
the police. The new design has no ‘hiding’ places for drug abuse or trouble
makers. See suggested layout.
It was therefore suggested that a covered ball court be put behind the under 5s
again still being locked 9pm, earlier during the winter. Tennis court/basket ball,
football goal ends etc…
4. CCTV
Quotes currently being obtained for CCTV coverage for the skate park, and
under5s play area. Other Areas to be considered.
5. CHRISTMAS EVENT GROUP REQUEST

lighting and music amplifiers for the Christmas event.

local shop keepers with regards to providing trees, Lights and decorating the
High Street for Christmas.
7. SENCE VALLEY
Council to discuss Clerks meeting with Sence Valley representatives. Bins being
removed as Forestry Commission cannot fund the £4k to empty. Council to
discuss options to assist.
8. CHAPEL STREET BUNTING (HIGH STREET??)
County Highways rejected the suggestion of lights from Lamp post to lamp post
due to tension issues, damaging the structure of the lampposts. After speaking o
Measham Parish council, a suggestion that we contact houses up chapel street,
and ask them to put a ‘eyelet fixing’ on their property, and we can fix bunting to
that? Measham hire a cherry picker, and a local fireman volunteer fixes bunting.

Two trees In Battram Play area to be removed due to concerns raised about the
roots damaging neighbouring property.

passed to home owners and can be removed or not managed efficiently.
