GROUP
Taking account of the last six
questions.
What mental factor do you
think has the biggest impact on
your performance?
What is decision making…
A choice that you make about something after thinking
about several possibilities….
Why decision making is important…
• How does quick decision making impact on you opponents performance?
• Making the correct decision quickly reduces the chance of your opponent being
able to intercept or gain possession of the ball.
• How does quick decision making impact on the success rate of your passing?
• Making the correct decision when passing cuts down the chance of your team
losing possession of the ball.
• How does decision making impact on the speed of your teams attack?
• Making the correct decision quickly when attacking helps your team to attack
with speed. This reduces the chance of the opposition getting back to set up
their defence.
• How does your ability to make quick decisions impact on your opposition?
• Quick decision making reduces the oppositions thinking time, limiting the
chances of them taking up a good defensive position and intercepting the ball.
