FORMAT
QUALIFYING
All bowlers to bowl 10 games scratch pinfall. Lane change every 2 games.
Odd lanes move 3 pair* to left. Even lanes move 3 pair* right.
*subject to squad numbers to ensure fairness for all bowlers
FINALS Round 1 ~ PINFALL CARRY OVER
The top 24 bowlers to bowl 6 games scratch pinfall. Qualifying pinfall to be
carried over. Lane changes after each game. Odd lanes move 1 pair left.
Even lanes move 1 pair right.
FINALS Round 2 ~ PINFALL DROPPED
The top 15 bowlers on scratch pinfall after Round 1 will progress to match
play consisting of 7 games, 3 way match play. Bonus pins applied will be 20
pins for 1st, 10 pins for 2nd and 0 pins for 3rd place each match.
The top 5 at the completion of this round will proceed to a stepladder
cascading final with 5th place to bowl 4th place. The winner will meet 3rd
place, the winner of that match will meet 2nd place and the winner will
meet 1st place in the title match. All pinfall from the bonus pins and games
will determine the final 5 bowler placings for the stepladder finals.
ANY TIES FOR TOP 5 WILL BE DETERMINED BY SINGLE GAME ROLL OFF
The winner of the title match will be declared the
2017 GLOBAL Travel & Cruise Gold Coast Cup Champion
and will receive free entry into the 2018 tournament.
SCHEDULE
Squad times will be as follows:
QUALIFYING
Bowling 10 games. 4 bowlers to a pair. All squads limited to 32 Bowlers
Friday August 18th. Squad A. 6:00pm check-in.
Saturday August 19th. Squad B. 7:30am check-in.
Saturday August 19th. Squad C. 1:00pm check-in.
Saturday August 19th. Squad D. 6:30pm check-in.
FINALS Round 1
SUNDAY 20th August. Top 24 Bowling 6 games. 4 bowlers to a pair. Check-in
closes at 7:00am sharp. Any lateness will not be tolerated and will be
replaced with the next placed bowler.
FINALS Round 2
Top 15 Bowling 7 games, 3 way match play.
Check-in immediately after results posted and to commence after
conditioning of lanes. Stepladder to commence 30 minutes following match
play results are finalised.
There will no further conditioning of lanes after match play.
Tournament Rules
& Conditions
• This is a scratch event open to all TBA registered bowlers. All games are bowled in accordance with TBA rules & regulations. TBA
membership cards will be requested at check-in. Females + 8 Pins/game
•
Dress code: Collared or Bowling Jerseys are suitable
attire, trousers, dress shorts or skirts are preferred for Qualifying.
FINALS: Men are to wear Trousers, NO SHORTS. Jeans, track
pants, denim, boardies,cargos & tights are not acceptable attire
• Smoking, alcohol and use of mobile phones will not be permitted whilst competing.
• The tournament directors reserve the right to scrutinise any equipment
at any time. Any non-sanctioned equipment or equipment to be found non-compliant or in breach of TBA rules and regulations by any
bowler, will result in instant disqualification and no claim to any prize money.
• Re-entry option will be available and the tournament directors must be notified within 30 minutes prior to check-in time for the squad commencing and a vacancy in the nominated squad must be
available. Maximum re-entry is not limited but is only available
based on squad availability.
• Ties. In the result of any ties for qualifying or Finals Round 1, the
highest last game will decide the highest position. At the end of
Round 2 match play, if any ties, a 1 game play off will decide the
highest position. If a tie in either stepladder match occurs, a 1 game play off will take place to determine a winner. If still tied, a single ball
playoff will be used to break any further tie.
• Any bowler to not check-in for any Final rounds on time will be
replaced by the first available placegetter, eg top 24, if 1 person
fails to check-in then 25th place will be offered a spot to progress
and so on until place is filled.
• Any other matters not covered above, will be determined by the
tournament directors, whose decision will be final.
• Ball Registrations are mandatory in 2017 and will follow all TBA
regulations, registration forms will be required to be filled out
prior to commencment of your first qualifying squad
