Microwave sensing
MICROWAVE SENSORS offer many possibilities:
- Distance (cm and sub mm accuracy)
- Changes in dielectrical constant
- Speed (Doppler)
- Speed and distance combined (FMCW)
- Angle of Arrival
- Vibrations, change in distance.
- Combinations (object at a distance and movement of that object)
- With 60 GHz (λ=0,5 cm) and 7 GHz bandwidth resolution cm’s
- Fast as the speed of light.
- In harsh enviroments.
- With radar we illuminate the object (as opposed to cameras).
