What is it?
 The
BIG TRAVEL CHALLENGE is a
Green-Schools travel competition.
When will it run?
 It
will run over 10 school days this month,
from
February 8th to February 23rd.
What do we have to do?
 We
have to get all the pupils who are
travelling to school by car to either walk to
school, cycle to school or do park n stride.
 At
the moment about 30% of children travel
all the way to school by car. If we can
decrease this number we are in with a
chance of winning a FANTASTIC prize.
What is the fantastic prize?
First
prize is €1000!
Four
runners up will receive
€500 each.
 Small
prize for best class in Presentation
What is wrong with coming to
school by car?
It
causes pollution.
It uses fuel which is expensive.
It causes traffic jams.
It
is lazy!
What are the advantages to
walking to school?
 It
keeps you fit and makes you healthy.
 It wakes you up and makes you ready to
learn in school.
 It causes ZERO pollution.
 It is FREE.
It
is FUN!
