She noted the expenses for Meet the Player and batting practice shirts. Also, the Spring Trip was a bit more expensive than budgeted but with the additional contribution of $50/player the ‘net’ cost came out to about the same. Income included a record year from Applebee’s fundraiser and Letter Campaign donations continue to come in. OLD BUSINESS Meet the Player Night (Linda Gery/Dawn Lynch) – Everything went well. Angel Network thanked all the families for the soup donations. Letter Campaign (Dave & Amy Hahn) – 57 letters have come in so far ($1,980), 13 more arrived today. 9 players opted for a buy-out option ($1,400). Thank you letters were discussed, Dave will work on having something for players to distribute to their list of donors. Apparel Orders (Karen Schichtl) – Orders are on track for completion. There was an issue with the large jackets that is being fixed so they will be delayed a bit. Hats were ordered this year and have now sold out. Many parents have requested magnets so Karen will look into getting more. Shave for the Brave – Baseball was the team with the most participants (28) and highest amount raised ($6,266) at EHS. Because of their efforts, Anthony’s Coal Fire Pizza treated them to pizza and wings after practice. Game Environment o Snack Bar: SignUp Genius was created so that each Varsity family can sign up for half of one home game. o DJ/Announcer: Has been tricky to coordinate with all of the rescheduled games but should come together soon. o Programs: Have been printed and will be available at the snack stand. o Signs: Game schedules were printed to hang at local stores and businesses – several parents offered to take some to post around town. Team Dinners – With all the delays at the start of the season, we will only have 1 for each team: Varsity on 4/11 at the Lanzone’s and JV on 4/12 at the Capri’s. Families will be asked to help contribute to the meals. Weis/Giant (Staci Foley) – Cards have been selling and there are some new buyers. Staci was still looking for a JV parent to help sell/promote at their games and Neldell offered to help. Applebee’s Breakfast (Allison Moxey) – Worked really well, the boys were great. We raised almost $2,000. A new coordinator will be needed for next year. Coca-Cola Park Tickets – Gayle has extras, please see her if you need them. Away Game Meals (Chris Foley) – First game went well, he now has a JV parent helping. Bylaws Update – It was decided NOT to make any changes, instead the Web Coordinator position will stay and may be expanded. NEW BUSINESS Special Event Games – The East Penn Press will be notified about the events on 4/22. o Youth Day 4/22 (Judy & Bill Marushak/Karen Schichtl): Purpose is to invite youth to come out and encourage them to continue to play ball. Activities are being planned, will need the help of players. o Senior Day 4/22 (Dawn Lynch): Dawn could use some help decorating. She was also looking for a photographer and Joe Henseler volunteered. o Mentor Night 4/24 (Allison Moxey): She will be talking to the seniors to see who they plan to invite and will help coordinate with the teachers. o Advertiser/Borough Appreciation 5/1 (Gayle Cichocki): They will be invited on the field and each will received a baseball signed by the team.
