except War Games
The expense form is now on line and will start from either 1/12/15 or 1/1/16

The football club no longer plays at the Civil Service Club grounds
The Bridge and Darts Sections still need to give Michelle Russell information for
the flyer being produced
Francis advised that the flyer is on hold until a full calendar of events is finalised
from the sections and the Club
The Polo Shirts should arrive soon
3. Area Treasurers Report
All bills have been paid to date with the exception of the polo shirts bill of £227.50
and the Christmas Night of £140. This still leaves roughly £1800 in the bank. As this
has to be almost all spent before 31st December 2015 it was agreed that
-
George Churchill would receive £400 as a deposit for a bus trip he is organising.
This works out at £10 per member attending
New dart boards are to be purchased for the Darts Section
A one-off payment is to be made to the Bowls section to cover essential feed for
the green.
4. Area Secretary Report
Membership lists have now been received.
A letter has been received by the former football section thanking the Area
Committee for previous dealings with them and for their support. They still would
like to hold events at the Club and have been advised to discuss that with the Club
Committee.
Costings from Head Office are the same as last year
The CSSC games were held successfully.
Certain Regional Posts are changing
5. Section Updates
Angling
The Angling Section reported that this year they have run at a loss. This is due to a
number of factors.
At their recent committee meeting it was decided that CSSC concessionary tickets
would no longer be available. This is due to the cost of printing them. It costs more
to print than the revenue raised. This decision is still to be passed at their AGM but
because these tickets are a requirement from CSSC Head Office they will need to be
informed. It was suggested that perhaps the Area could contribute towards the
printing of the tickets.
Action – Ian to ask the Angling Treasurer to email details to Francis.
Bowls
The Bowls section just had their AGM. Everything is running smoothly but they have
had to raise their fees. They have asked for another meeting to discuss the funding
for next year for the bowling green.
Bridge
No report from the Bridge Section but Janette Barr advised that on a recent Health
and Safety check it was discovered that two of their tables were in danger of
collapsing.
Darts
The Darts section are struggling for players. New dartboards are going to be
purchased by the Area.
Skittles
The season is now underway. One set of balls is causing concern as they are starting
to split. It was agreed that the Area would purchase a new set of balls to replace
them.
Concern was raised that a number of Thursdays have been “lost” in the run up to
Christmas due to the Club taking bookings for the hall. This has resulted in a struggle
to fit in the fixtures. Rental has been paid on behalf of the section which should
mean priority.
Action – Francis to speak to the Club
War Games
The War Games section would like a cupboard of their own rather than sharing with
the Skittles Section. This should be possible and will be looked into.
Action – Ramsay to investigate cupboard availability
Club Report
Nothing to report. It was agreed that the Area would now fund both Christmas
nights. The possibility of a Christmas Eve Event was mentioned.
Health and Safety
No report
6. Administrative Business
As mentioned in the Development Plan a £10 cash back scheme will launch on
1/1/16. This will only run up to the budget allowance. It will follow the same model
as Forth Valley and Central have used as it worked very well for them.
7. Any Other Business
There was no other business.
8. Date of Next Meeting
The next meeting will take place on Sunday 20th December at 12 noon at the Rosyth
Civil Service Club. It will be a thank you from the Area Association lunch followed by
a meeting.
