PCU Winter 7v7 League Rules
League Regulations/Information
1. Team Roster-- Every player must be on Bonzi Team Roster before they play, NO EXCEPTIONS.
a. Rosters are unlimited
b. Players can only play up one age group
c. Players must be at least 17 years old and/or a senior in high school to play in any of the Adult Divisions
2. No Player Cards– ALL PLAYERS MUST be listed on the Official Roster for the 7v7 League.
3. Facilities/Parking – Buckman Field- All participants can park in the parking lot located on NE 15 th and NE Glisan Avenue or
park on NE 12th Street. Restrooms are located in the SE corner or in the clubhouse in the NW corner.
4. Checking in at games – No rosters need to be given to the referees. Coaches are liable for playing any unregistered players
in 7v7 league games.
5. Team uniforms and equipment-- All teams need to be in matching uniforms, home team will wear light and the away team
will wear dark. Shinguards are always required - no exceptions.
Game and Tourney Format
1. 6 players plus a goalkeeper
2. Field size: Half (50 x 70)
3. Goal size: Academy size Outdoor Goal (6.5 x 18)
4. Game ball provided by home team
5. Games are 50 minutes with two-25 minute halves and a three-minute halftime.
6. No added time or overtime
7. 3-point system- 3 points for a Win, 1 point for a tie, 0 points for a loss - Tie-Breakers- 1-Goal Differential, 2-Goals Against,
3-Goals For
Game Rules
1. Substitutions are done 'on the fly' (player must exit field before sub enters field).
2. Substitutes must enter and exit from center line of the field.
3. Kick-ins instead of throw-ins.
4. All kicks are indirect with the exception of penalty kicks.
5. Penalty kicks are taken from the 12-yard penalty area line.
6. 5-yard mandatory buffer around free-kicks.
7. After goals are scored play is started with a kickoff from the midline.
8. Keeper may opt to use hands or feet to play ball out instead of taking proper goal kicks.
9. Keeper has 6 seconds to release possession of the ball.
10. No Offsides
11. NO SLIDE TACKLING - (meaning a slide within five feet of an opposing player) results in verbal warning for first offense;
second offense results in yellow card, and third offense is second yellow, and the player is ejected from the game (the
goalkeeper is excluded from this rule and may slide within his/her penalty area).
a. Any non-tackling slide will result in a verbal warning the first time and potentially a yellow card the second.
b. In short, stay on your feet!
12. Red card results in ejection from game and one-game suspension. Fighting is an automatic 1 year suspension.
a. Team may not replace any red-carded player on the field during the game he/she received it.
13. If either team goes up by 5 goals, the opposing team may insert an extra player until the goal differential drops below 5.
14. Lightning/Extreme Weather: All games are cancelled, teams will be notified by email. PCU will work to replay any unplayed
games but reserves the right to cancel them.
One final note - PCUSC RESERVES THE RIGHT TO DISQUALIFY AND EJECT ANY PLAYER AND/OR TEAM FOR UNSPORTSMANLIKE
CONDUCT OR GENERAL REFUSAL TO COOPERATE WITH THE RULES, REGULATIONS, AND SPIRIT OF THIS LEAGUE, AND GRANT
JUDGMENT OF THIS RIGHT TO THE REFEREE(S) WHO OFFICIATE THE MATCHES WITHIN THIS LEAGUE.
