WELCOME

Academics are known to be good at talking and less good
at doing what they talk about. Let’s change that:
”Let’s eat our own dogfood”
or
”Taste our own service system”
E. Gummesson 2009
3
We worked out a value proposition:
The 2009 Naples Forum on Service
We had a summit
meeting in Naples
in April 2008
E. Gummesson 2009
4
We looked at the economy of the Forum and talked to the experts
We asked for contributions

5
We teamed up with EIASM,
The European Institute of Advanced Studies in Management, Brussels,
with whom we already had a relationship
and we could benefit from their resources, among them
a network through which to announce the Naples Forum.
And in between we prayed that it would
all work out. And it did -- so far!

EVALUATION OF THE FORUM
The Forum is about S-D logic, service science
and networks
Let’s show that we can apply it on our own service
Let’s ”Eat the dog-food”
Therefore let’s evaluate how we contributed

Answer questions
on various aspects of the value proposition (traditionally asked)
and then on co-creation, for example:
Did I contribute to the Forum and increase its value for everyone?
Did I contribute to the Forum and increase the value for me personally?
If I was a presenter was I well prepared and did I convey an interesting
message to the audience?
Did I keep the time as a presenter thus showing consideration to other
presenters and the audience?
Was I constructively active during the sessions thus improving their value?
Did I use the Forum for social and professional networking?
