Course & Venue Notes:
 1-day licenses are not allowed in the Women P/1/2/3, Men P/1/2/3, or Men 3/4 races. Riders in those
races must have annual USAC licenses with the appropriate category.
 Jr Boys & Girls 9-14 will race on a shortened course to allow for more laps in their allotted time.
 Preregistered riders will be staged based their Crossresults.com ranking.
• There are team tent spots available by pre-reg ($20 per spot) and if any spots are left on race day, they will be
allotted on a first-come-first-served basis. All proceeds to be donated to the Lowell Sun Santa fund.
 A fast course around Shedd Park consisting of a cinder track, grassy flats, barriers, some steep climbs, and a
couple of stretches of single/double track, spectator friendly with plenty of on site parking.
 Parking is on the backside of the park in two lots. Do not park in front of the pavilion, in the lot next to the
playground or on Rogers St. Please also be respectful of the Lowell Cemetery and Rogers Fort Hill Park,
which border the park.
 Registration is at the pavilion. Registration opens at 7:00 AM.
 In general, the Shedd Park is not open to cyclocross training.
 Toilets are in the pavilion. We’ll also have portable toilets in the parking areas.
 There is a large playground at Shedd Park, great for the kids.
 Make sure not to miss the raffle for a set of Boyd Cycling “Black & Tan” tubular wheels. Proceeds to benefit
the Lowell Sun Santa Fund. Tickets to be sold on Bikereg and at the registration table. The winning name will
be drawn at Shedd Park before the final race of the day. You do not need to be present to win. Retail value is
approximately $650.
Other Notes:
 US DOT or CPSC approved helmets required (at all times).
 Timing and scoring services provided by Alan Atwood Racing Services.
 Promoter reserves the right to combine fields.
 USAC Licenses are required and will be available day of race. USAC $3.75 insurance surcharge is included
in fee. One-day licenses available for an additional $10. Add $5 for race day registration.
 Mountain bikes welcome, no bar ends please.
 Field Limit of 100 for all race times except the Men 3/4 and Jr 15-18 race at 2:50 pm which has a field limit
of 110.

 Riders may do more than one race. The race fee for a second race is $10

Race day registration opens at 7:00 am and closes 15 minutes before each event.
Directions & Parking:
The race venue is very close to Rte 495 in
Lowell. Take Rt. 495 to Exit 38 Rt.
38/Lowell/Tewksbury. At the end of the ramp,
turn right toward Lowell. Proceed approximately
one mile to the set of lights just after the Wendy's
restaurant. Take a left on to Boylston St and take
a right into the entrance for the Joe Pyne School
and a right on to Park Ave East. Shedd Park is on
the right. Please note the Park Ave East is now a
one-way street from the Joe Pyne School to
Knapp Ave.
