2016-2017 League Rules
ALL NEW ITEMS FOR THIS SEASON IN BOLD
1. The Tuesday Women’s League is a 5-member women’s league.
2. The League will bowl on Tuesday nights beginning August 30, 2016 and continue for 30 weeks ending
March 28, 2017.
a. Roll-off will be scheduled for April 4, 2017, if necessary.
b. Dates skipped will be:
I: March 7-9 2017-City Tournament

Shadow balls will begin at 6:05pm and the league will begin at 6:15pm
a. Late bowlers will have until the 3rd frame to start a game.
6. League Costs:
a. Nightly league fees $11.00 ($10.00 for lineage, $1.00 for the prize fund).
i.
A one week grace period is allowed for your envelope to be caught up. If your envelope is
behind three weeks in a row then your team will forfeit the points until it’s caught up.
ii.
TEAM CAPTAINS – Are to have the full amount of money in the envelopes each week after.
b. Women’s Sanction Fees are $16.50 and due on the first night of bowling
c. Team sponsor fee will be $50.00 due by the 3rd week of bowling.
7. Scoring/Handicap/Season Format
a. League bowlers will use their book average for the first three weeks (9 games) while establishing a 2015-2016
league average (adopted 2010)
b. The season will be split into halves, 15 weeks each segment. Position rounds will be week 15 and week 30.
c. Each Team game is worth 2 points and Team Series is worth 3 points (9 points per night)
d. Handicap will be figured for each individual bowler by taking 100% of the difference in their average and
220. (adopted 2011)
i.
Ex: A 140 average bowler would receive 80 pins handicap per game
ii. 220-140 = 80
iii.
Any bowler with an average higher than or equal to 220 will receive 0 pins handicap per game.
e. When bowling unopposed or a known forfeit situation (against a blind team) you must bowl within 50 pins of
your teams average to win the points.
f. If a team has a vacancy spot, the vacancy score given will be 120 with no handicap awarded.
g. When a bowler is absent, the blind score is figured by taking the absent bowlers average and subtracting 10
pins.
h. A full team will be made up of a minimum of 3 regular bowlers, subs may fill the other positions.
i. Pre-bowls will be allowed as individuals or as a whole team. Pre-bowls are not allowed for position rounds.
Pre-bowls are not available Sundays from 9a-3p
j. If a bowler has to leave early for a reason, the option of bowling out ahead of their teammates and the
opposing team, will be allowed.
k. A sub may be used for position rounds. However the sub must have 12 games in the league. Floating subs are
allowed (adopted 2010).
l.
No new subs for Roll-off night. Alternating team members are allowed. All bowlers participating in the rolloff must have a minimum of 12 games bowled during the season (2011)
m. Roll-off will be winner of 1st half and winner of 2nd half. Total pins will determine the winner of the roll-off
and overall champion and runner-up of the league. The rest of the positions will be determined by YTD
points.
8. Awards & Prizes
a. Year end awards
i.
First place sponsor – plaque or trophy or cash equivalent (approx $25)
ii.
$50.00 bonus will be awarded to the winner and $25.00 bonus will be awarded for the runnerup of each half.
iii.
$50.00 bonus will be awarded to the winner and $25.00 bonus will be awarded for the runnerup of the end of year Roll-off.
iv.
Year-end payout will be based off total points won for the season. That is, each point is given a
dollar value and prize money will be awarded based on the Team total points won. (approx. .75/point)
9. Miscellaneous
a. Strike Ticket
i. Tickets will be sold by the Triway Lanes staff
ii. Tickets will be $1 for each ticket (no maximum)
iii. If the pot reaches $300 total, the pot will be split in half and two tickets drawn.
b. Banquet tickets will be purchased from Triway Lanes using the league prize fund. As always, the tickets can
be redeemed for the purchase price.
1. Note: If any one team member is not paid up to the date banquet tickets are given out
the ticket will be held until they have paid.
