Activity 1
Half field.
Keeper plus 4 defenders plus
holding midfielder.
Ball starts from coach at
mid-line to keeper.
Coach serves ball from mid-line
to keeper. Keeper distributes
to one of the defenders. The
back four swing the ball from
left to right. Coaching points:
quality of the pass, quality of
first touch, good positional
play, support at angles behind
the ball.
Activity 2
Half field.
Keeper, 4 defenders and a
holding midfielder vs 3
attackers. The 5 try to build
out of the back. The 3 look
to score on goal.
Ball always starts from coach
at mid-line to keeper.
Coaching points: quality of the
pass, quality of first touch,
good positional play, support at
angles around the ball. Move
the ball from side to side. Be
patient.
Activity 3
Half field.
Keeper plus 7 vs 5 attackers.
The 7 look to keep
possession and keep control
across the mid-line. The 5
look to go to goal when they
win the ball.
Ball always starts from coach
at mid-line to keeper.
Coaching points: good
positional play and spacing,
good technical play
(passing/receiving). Move the
ball from side to side, create
rhythm (short-short-long). Look
for wide defenders to dribble
across midline.
Activity 4
Half field.
Keeper plus 8 vs 6 attackers.
The 8 look to keep
possession and keep control
across the mid-line. The 6
look to go to goal when they
win the ball.
Ball always starts from coach
at mid-line to keeper.
