The Procura interRAI Contact Assessment is based on the Canadian specification, which is licensed from Canadian Institute for Health information (CIHI). It does not replace the use of comprehensive interRAI assessments. It collects only intake information that supports decisions regarding the need for more comprehensive assessment, the urgency of the need for home care service, and the need for specialized services, (e.g., rehabilitation). The interRAI CA does not provide care planning protocols, such as the interRAI Home Care (HC). However, it does provide clinical information that is helpful for service delivery. You can use the RAI CA form to capture contact assessment information, which can be used to generate the required outputs so that they can ensure that the appropriate services are provided to the client. You can collect information community/hospital intake and as an emergency department screen. Using dependency question A(10) you can indicate if the assessment is a community or hospital intake, or an Emergency Department Screen. The dependency question will direct you to the appropriate section of the assessment. For those clients who have problematic trigger conditions, Clinical Assessment Protocols (CAPS) are used as guidelines for further assessment and individualized care planning. The Procura interRAI Contact Assessment includes: Electronic interRAI Contact Assessment forms and outputs Support for common ICD-10 Canadian edition home care diagnosis codes interRAI Client Longitudinal Assessment (CLA) and interRAI Profile reports Display for follow-ups and notes that pertain to each specific question.
