BC & Yukon Panorama Family Health and Immunization – Quick Steps
RECORD CONSENTInformed Consent is required to be obtained and documented prior to
administering an immunization.
FROM THE IMMUNIZATION MODULE
Left Hand Navigation (LHN) > Immunizations > Record & Update Imms. Client Immunization
View/Add screen displays.
1. Select Immunizing Agent(s) and enter immunization Date
2. Click Consent button. Maintain Consent for Immunizations screen displays.

Immunization agent(s) and antigens default as checked in the Consent screen
after the Agent and date is selected in the Client Immunization View/Add screen
and the Consent button is clicked.
When navigating to the Consent screen via the Client Immunization View/Add
screen, make sure you deselect agents that are not applicable. The only agents
that should be selected are those that you actively obtained consent for.
A drop-down list appears when ‘Related Clients’ is selected at ‘Consent Given
By’. (This drop down list will only include Indexed Clients and will not display
non-indexed Clients).
BUSINESS PRACTICE: If the Parent is not set up in Relationships and “Parent” is
selected in the Consent Given By field, enter the name of the Parent in the text box
next to the Consent Given By field.

‘Consent Given To’ has the option to select the current user.

If you are entering for a consent given on a previous date, make sure to change
the EFFECTIVE FROM date.
1. Click the Apply button. A pop up message, “Are you sure you want to proceed? You
cannot undo this action.” Click OK. The Maintain Consent for Immunizations screen
refreshes. Consent Readiness for selected agent(s) appear as “Yes.”
When you scroll to the bottom of the screen, the Directive Status/Directive ID column
for the selected agent appear as “Confirmed.”
2. Select CANCEL to return to the Record and Update Immunization page OR LHN > Record
& Update Imms.
To access Consent from the LHN without going to the Record/Update Immunization page: Left
Hand Navigation (LHN) > Client > Consent Directives > Immunization Service. Maintain Consent
for Immunizations screen displays. Scroll to Current Consent Status by Immunizing Agent section
and select Immunizing Agent(s) from the Row Actions field. Click Add.
Continue process as described above ( steps 1 and 2 only).
