Logan County Fair Royalty
Responsibilities and Duties
The following are expectations that come with this responsibility:
1. This commitment is for one full year.
2. It is expected that you will take a leadership role in conducting the Royalty Contest the year
following your appointment. This includes seeking sponsorships, planning and organizing the
event.
3. You are a role model representing the Logan County Fair. Know that everyone will be watching
you at all times.
4. Remain positive and enthusiastic – always friendly and courteous.
5. Support one another - you all have the same goal; to act as an excellent representative and help
make the fair a great experience for everyone.
6. There are many activities. The King and Queen should attend as many activities as possible, but
allow the court to help fill the void. The Prince and Princess should accompany a member of
Royalty whenever they are able.
7. Dress appropriately - use the dress code from shows and the sale as guidelines. Your appearance
is the first impression others receive, so represent the fair well by dressing aptly at all times.
Modesty should take precedence. Fair officials reserve the right to ask you to change your attire.
* Shorts are acceptable. NO short shorts. NO tube tops.
* Do not wear your sash and crown while being judged.
8. Meet each day of the fair to review the schedule and discuss what happened the day before.
9. Feel free to seek guidance from past Royalty, Janie Foreman, Christie Barns, or Annie Davis.
10. Enjoy this time. Smile and talk to as many people as you can!
Activities
1. Introduce yourself to the Logan County Fair secretary and members of the Senior Fair Board. Take
the initiative to be involved in. Be sure to attend and help at the following events:
 Baked Goods Auction- Wednesday Evening
 Senior Citizens Day- Thursday
 All entertainment events at the Grandstand and Entertainment Tent throughout the week
 Livestock shows and Livestock auction

2. Visit the merchant businesses and organizations. Thank them for exhibiting and being a part of the
fair.
3. You will receive invitations to other county fairs. Attend as many as you can; five is suggested.
Visit the Secretary’s office to pick up a schedule of all the fairs in Ohio and their office contact
information. If possible, call before you visit to let them know when you will be there.
4. Act as host/hostess to visiting Royalty.
5. Plan to participate in other Logan County events and activities such as:
 The Logan County 4-H Scholarship Dinner in June
 Bellefontaine Memorial Day and Christmas Parade
 West Liberty Christmas and Labor Day Parade
 Other Local Memorial Day Parades
I hereby attest to the fact as a contestant in the Logan County Fair Royalty I meet the eligibility
requirements. I promise to comply with all Duties and Responsibilities of the contest. I will hold harmless
Logan County Fair officials and contest directors in the event of any injury occurring during by
participation. I will conduct myself in a manner befitting a contestant and/or a member of the Logan County
Fair Royalty and hereby agree to adhere to the official's directions and requirements.
