Hi
Hope you both had a good weekend.
Please find attached two PDF documents sent by a local resident.
“The (441 KB pdf) both show the associated hedge boundaries of the Dingley Road area related
to the proposed area of planning and mirrors the Conservation area and its associated
boundaries/hedges. The Undated Survey is much clearer to define the boundaries/hedges and a
clearer indication of a hedge along the south side of the road at that time”
“The (723 KB pdf) hedge being 200 yards long. The photo is taken between 1839 when the
Great Bowden School was built and at around 1880 when the mud cottages in the photo
were demolished and our house No.3, and No.5 (The Denness’s House) were built. The
road scene has therefore not changing intrinsically then and now and can be viewed by
the Great Bowden Church and today’s listed buildings”
As the site is close (you could even argue within) the historic core of Great Bowden I would
welcome your thoughts on whether the hedgerow would be considered important under the
Hedgerow Regulations and whether you would object to its removal or historic and ecological
grounds.
Many thanks and kind regards
