Paper Playing Card Holder: (Full instructions) Folding Techniques: Valley Fold: Mountain Fold: Valley Folds are indicated by a dashed line. Fold the paper along the dashed line toward you so that the dashed line is a “valley” surrounded by the two sides of paper. Mountain Folds are indicated by a dotted line. Fold the paper away from you on the dotted line so that the dotted line is on the peak of a “mountain” and the two sides of paper are below the fold. Step 1: Start with the printed template (Figure 1). Print the template out on heavy paper or cardstock. Valley fold on the dashed line under the words “Glue Here” (Figure 2). Figure 6 – It should look like this with all folds Step 5. Tuck the bottom edge of the paper into the fold line underneath the words “Glue Here”, (Figure 7). If it fits properly, apply glue or tape along the tab where it says “Glue Here” and hold paper together until the glue holds (Figure 8). Place the playing cards on the cardholder as shown in Figure 10. While it is useable and stable this way, continue to the next page for making it even more rollover-resistant. A simple solution is to put a heavy mug behind the cardholder (Figure 11). A better solution requires one ® small Ziploc snack baggie ® and about half a Dixie bathroom cup of salt, sugar, or play sand (Figure 12). Figure 11 – The simple anti-tipping fix Figure 12 – Half a ® Dixie cup of play sand Step 7: Pour the sand into the baggie and seal with the zipper. Roll the baggie and sand up into a roll about the size of a hot dog (Figure 13). Stick the rolled-up baggie in the card holder, it should resist tipping (Figure 14).
