BALL FAMILIARITY (Fundamentals) EMPHASIS: Dribbling Passing Technique Coordination FUN! 25m x 20m area. Every player has a ball to start. Technical: The players dribble around the area and perform tasks (toe taps, side taps, ball dancing, turns, inside/outside of foot, just left/right foot). Coordination (body breaks): The players dribble the ball around the area. The coach shouts out a part of the body and the players have to touch the ball with that part of their body. Pass And Move: Now take half of the balls away. Players that don't have a ball need to get in position, make eye contact, call and receive a pass from any player who has a ball. Once a player has made a pass they must quickly move to provide support and receive a new pass. Talk to the players about body position (45 degree angle). Ask them to attack any space around them with their first touch.
