Question:
1. I’m not sure if you are aware that Mn/DOT’s selection of the Signing Design – Level 2
prequalification level will result in Mn/DOT receiving a maximum of 3 LOIs since there are only
3 firms on this list. There is also a chance that Mn/DOT will receive less than 3 LOIs since the
three firms on this list are in the midst of completing major work for Mn/DOT (HDR-Cayuga,
Jacobs-169/494 & Cayuga, SRF-Dresbach & 610) and may choose to not submit due to the lack
of availability of staff. Please consider revising the Pre-Qualified Vendors List for this project so
Mn/DOT may receive LOIs from a number of highly qualified firms available to perform this
work.

“If responders are not pre-qualified for all work types needed for a project, they must make arrangements
to subcontract with firms that are pre-qualified for those work types. If applicable, the responder must

Layout for the COUNTY portion of the project be available for the successful
responder?
Are the layouts available for review by responders now, even in draft form?

No Bridge work is anticipated; however, we will be updating the bridge guard rail
over T.H. 10 in all four quadrants.

onto the on ramps to TH 10 and at least one side road.

The interchange layout is stored on our ftp site. You can get to the ftp site by right
clicking on your start button in the lower left corner of the desktop and pasting in the
following link: ftp://ftp2.dot.state.mn.us/pub/outbound/D4Design. Go to the folder
marked “Perham Interchange & CSAH 34” to retrieve the draft layout
(4p560742_gm1-test4.pdf).
Our hopes are to have the Level 1 layout County general layout done and available
for the successful responder (interchange).
