Ref.MR/MC
February 2016
Dear Parent/Carer
In an effort to reinforce our uniform policy and to ensure that parents/carers are clear on the
academy’s expectations and to serve as a reminder, details of the uniform requirements are
set out on the reverse of this letter. Please take the time to familiarise yourself with the
guidelines, to ensure that after half-term your child returns wearing correct uniform.
Over the past week this message has been reinforced to students in their year group assembly
and by form tutors.
If further clarification is needed on correct footwear, a photo gallery is available on the web
site to view.
Any student who fails to wear appropriate footwear or academy dress will be placed in seclusion
until the situation is resolved.
Furthermore, students must come adequately equipped for their studies to include, pen, pencil,
ruler, rubber, calculator, pencil case and bag. The academy PE kit must be worn – alternative kit
is not allowed.
In the meantime, thank you for continued support in helping the academy to maintain
standards.
If you have any queries about the academy’s uniform policy, please contact the relevant progress
co-ordinator for your child’s year group.
Yours sincerely
Mr M Riley
Senior Vice Principal
