FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE- The Intermediate (50/70) League Canadian Championship will have a

Langley Little League on being awarded the tournament for the next three years. The
Intermediate division is played by ages 11-13.
Langley, British Columbia has been home to Langley Little League for 57 years and the
Intermediate tournament being held there will continue to add to their lengthy Little League

their 60th anniversary.
Langley Little League has been home to numerous tournaments already, featuring District,
Provincial and National tournaments and is also the home field of the 2000 Big League World
Series Champions.
“Langley Baseball is honoured to have been selected by Little League Canada as the host for the
Intermediate Canadian Tournament,” says Langley LL President Dan McLaren. “Our club has
just completed its 57th year of Baseball in Langley under Little League and I see the awarding of
the Tournament as a catalyst to boost the numbers and the intensity of our players,
parent membership, and our City to host a great tournament.”
The B.C. League has seen consistent growth over the last four years with 550 players this year
aged 4 to 19. This tournament will help to see these numbers continue to grow for years to
come.
