Thank you so much for being such a valued part of our church. We’ve spent many hours putting together what we think is a fantastic
team-based roster for this term. Most of you are only serving in one area. We hope this will help you to feel part of a team and help us get better at helping people grow closer to each other and God.
We have provided a role description for you below. Please take the time to read through this and contact us if you have any questions.
Welcoming: Your role is to make people feel that Soul is glad they came. Please be at Soul by 5:30pm to greet people at the front door, hand
out flyers and link new people with those on the connect team. Remind Kids Soul parents to sign their kids out.
Kitchen: Fill and turn the urn on, put out cups, spoons, glasses, tea, coffee, water etc. Ask those standing around if they would like a drink.
Keep the coffee bar clean and everything topped up. After Soul, collect cups and glasses, stack and start the dishwashers, clean down the coffee
bar, pack everything away and check everything is turned off.
Connect: Your role is to help people feel at home and less like they’re on their own. Look for ways to link new people or people on their own
with others.
Usher: Your role as usher is to help people move from the foyer / coffee bar into Big Soul and find a seat before 6:00pm. Where possible, encourage people toward the front or to fill in gaps in a row.
Pack down: Stack the chairs, vacuum Big Soul, foyer and if needed, kids rooms. Please check all windows, ranch sliders and doors are shut and
locked throughout the building including kids rooms and Big Soul.
Media: We would write a role description for you…..but we have no idea what to write. As long as the TV’s are showing the right thing at the
right time and the sound is epic……keep up the awesome work.
