CHAPTER11 DoubleScoring DoubleScoringisanimportantpartofthearcheryscoringprocessandensuresaccurateandhonestreporting of scores. It is important to practice double scoring as it is used at all levels of competition from local tournamentstotheOlympicGames. 11.1 Process 11.1.1 Eacharcherwillhavetwoscorecards, oneofficialcopyandone un‐officialcopythattheycankeep.Oneofthesesheetswillbe on colored paper (ie. yellow paper) and the other on white paper. When it comes time to score, one archer will have a clipboard with all of the official scorecards for each of the archers on that target. Another archer will have a clipboard withalloftheun‐officialscorecards.Thesetwo‘Scorers’are responsible for writing down the arrow values onto the scorecards and adding them up for End Scores and Running Totals. 11.1.2 Thearchersonatargetshoulddecidetheirscoringroles.Typicallytherearebetween2‐4 archers assigned to a target.
